“The retail concept: BACKSTAGE AT CHEAP MONDAY, an underground touring experience.

For my graduation project I created a retail environment concept for the brand Cheap Monday. The concept was developed after researching the brand itself, its target group, the retail and consumer trends concerning the brand and its future retail space. The design of the store but also the additional logo and marketing campaign where made and designed by me.

BACKSTAGE AT CHEAP MONDAY is a temporary retail environment reflecting Cheap Monday’s punk/rock appearance and behaviour. The store will be touring through the Netherlands stopping at underground and rather secretive places in Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam. It will give an unique peak behind the scenes of this rebellious, cheap and music-fuelled fashion brand by means of the presentation of its full scale collection, an interior that is raw, unusual and fitted to the brand’s cheap character. And in edition to that, a fulltime ‘black market’ that brings crafts and music from indie designers and musicians out of the neighbourhood
