For one of my two concepts I designed an inspirational print book that presents prints and designs for 4 different sectors of fashion.
“In 1953 Francis Crick unravelled the structure of DNA, discovered the secret of life and won the Nobel Prize. He used small doses of LSD to boost his creativity and powers of thought. Various other scientists after him experimented with using drugs to find solutions for scientific questions. Until today scientists cannot detect where the information, feelings and images are coming from and where they are stored in the human brain.”
The theme of this inspirational print book for the fashion industry is the hazy state of consciousness, the drug-triggered universe between genius and craziness. Chemical substances allow internal chaos and disorder to create something meaningful and new.
Dreams, hallucinations, flashbacks and visions, uncontrolled, energy laden, overwhelming, eye opening, out of this world, dark or weird, could they hold the answers?
