My final thesis is a comparison between fashion public relations firms in the Netherlands and Internationally. The idea to compare Dutch and International companies came to me, because I noticed during my internship at Viktor & Rolf, there is a difference in approach of the PR firms in the Netherlands and their International counterparts.
For the research I interviewed fashion (PR) professionals on their view about PR in the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom. Moreover I used relevant literature and online sources for my research. The outcome of the project are recommendations on how public relations can be improved in the Netherlands using the differences between international companies and Dutch companies.
Next to recommendations in my conclusions I made a booklet titled Pret-a-PR, the basics to fashion public relations as well. This books covers the way public relation firms can execute the recommendations in practice. It for instance includes recommendations on how to maintain relationships, how to use social media and how to organize events.
